Qualifications

• Proven experience with automotive testing or related engineering roles
• Strong mechanical knowledge interpreting schematics, blueprints, and drawings
• Familiarity with non-destructive testing techniques including UT, RT, MPI, penetrant testing, and X-ray
• Proficiency with hand tools such as calipers, micrometers, soldering equipment
• Experience in manufacturing environments adhering to ASME codes & standards and safety protocols
• Ability to collect, analyze, and report data using Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of aircraft non-destructive testing methods is a plus
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving mindset

Duties:

• Perform test drives on various vehicle models to evaluate handling, performance, and safety features under different conditions
• Collect and document data during vehicle testing sessions using specialized equipment and software
• Conduct mechanical inspections and interpret technical blueprints to diagnose potential issues
• Utilize non-destructive testing techniques such as ultrasonic testing, radiographic testing (RT), magnetic particle inspection (MPI), penetrant testing, and X-ray inspection to assess vehicle components' integrity
• Assist in equipment testing, calibration, and maintenance to ensure accurate results during vehicle evaluations
• Follow strict safety protocols during all testing procedures to maintain a safe working environment
• Collaborate with engineering teams to analyze test results and recommend improvements or modifications

Experience:

• Proven experience with automotive testing or related engineering roles involving surface mount technology, quality control, or quality assurance processes
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
• Familiarity with non-destructive testing techniques including ultrasonic testing, radiographic (RT), magnetic particle inspection (MPI), penetrant testing, and X-ray inspection as testing techniques
• Proficiency in using hand tools such as calipers, micrometers, soldering equipment, and other mechanical assembly tools
• Experience working within manufacturing environments adhering to ASME codes & standards and safety protocols
• Ability to collect, analyze, and report data accurately using Microsoft Office applications
• Knowledge of aircraft non-destructive testing methods is a plus but not required
• Excellent analysis skills combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
