Job summary

Flex is seeking a Test Development Engineer to join our Salt Lake City, Utah team. You will develop and maintain automated test solutions for Data Center and AI-focused products, collaborating with product design and global operations teams to ensure consistent test processes across facilities.

The role requires hands-on Linux administration, scripting (BASH, Python), and experience with server/hardware diagnostics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering field.
• 3-5 years related experience with server & storage products.
• Solid customer interfacing skills.
• Proficiency in Linux administration and BIOS/BMC tools.
• Experience in an NPI environment and transferring products between facilities.
• Knowledge of server/network/GPU stress and performance tools.
• Proficiency with software tools: Jira, GIT, Bitbucket.
• Background in computer system manufacturing test or system development.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, debug, and distribute automated manufacturing test scripts and diagnostic tools.
• Interface test solutions with shop floor systems and external resources.
• Collaborate with design teams during NPI phases to provide necessary test support.
• Support project milestones and timelines.
• Assist production setup and volume ramp with documentation and onsite support.
• Work with IT to specify, install, and maintain factory test infrastructure.
• Maintain test infrastructure according to customer requirements and corporate standards.
• Provide sustaining test maintenance for yield improvement and product updates.
• Participate in development and deployment of test automation solutions.
• Maintain Linux system administration skills and hardware/network proficiency.
