An established industry player is seeking a meticulous Test Development Editor to join their dynamic team. In this hybrid role, you'll be responsible for editing a diverse range of test materials, ensuring clarity and precision while adhering to The Chicago Manual of Style. Collaborating with a talented editorial team, you'll tackle various projects, from test passages to educational materials, all while honing your skills in a supportive environment. EDITOR - TEST DEVELOPMENT
Summary: This position is responsible for editing, copyediting, and proofreading a variety of test materials. Editors work individually and as part of a team composed of the editorial director, senior editors, editors, associate editors, and/or temporary and contract editors. Materials are reviewed in both print and online formats and include test passages, test questions, technical reports, and a variety of public-facing educational materials. Editors use the in-house style guide, The Chicago Manual of Style, and conduct their work as efficiently as possible, sometimes while juggling dozens of editorial projects. Materials are edited at various editing levels, depending on where the materials are in the production process. All editors on the team review materials covering all the major subject areas: English language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies. Editors receive periodic feedback from the editorial director and apply that feedback going forward.
Position Responsibilities
Position is hybrid - 3 days in the office, 2 days from home (in-person workplace is in Maple Grove, Minnesota).
