Job summary

ADTRAN is hiring a Test Design Engineer to join a team responsible for developing and implementing functional tests for ADTRAN products, both new and existing. The role emphasizes hardware test design and supporting software for testing.

The candidate will work on design and automation tasks, with opportunities to explore fiber-optic and wireless technologies relevant to ADTRAN products. International travel is required as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering is required.
• 2-5 years of professional engineering experience required.
• C/C++ object-oriented programming experience and standard debugging methodologies required.
• Experience with hardware design and software version control tools required.
• Ability to travel internationally is required.

Responsibilities

• Design or assist in the design of hardware and test instruments to support new product interfaces and testing requirements.
• Develop or assist in the development of advanced software applications to support hardware designs.
• Generate test procedures, implement test hardware, and automate tests in C++ and Python.
• Design or assist in digital and analog circuits, simulation and debugging.
• May research fiber-optic, wireless technologies, and other innovations for ADTRAN products.
• Involve in firmware development as needed.
