Location: Grand Rapids onsite 4 days per week

Duration: Several Years

Pay Rate: $60-85/hr

Duration: 12 month contract + extensions

Must Haves:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field
• Experience developing software for automated test equipment
• Proficiency in C#
• Ability to migrate and modernize legacy test software
• Fundamental understanding of electrical schematics and electronic circuits
• Hands‑on experience troubleshooting electronic test systems and hardware
• Familiarity with common lab and test equipment
• Ability to design and integrate test adapters for production test stations
• Strong problem‑solving and debugging skills
• Ability to document technical designs, procedures, and test results clearly

Plusses:

• Experience using National Instruments TestStand and/or LabWindows/CVI

Day to Day:

An Aerospace Company in the Grand Rapids area is looking for a test systems Engineer. This person will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting automated test systems used to verify complex electronic avionics assemblies. This role focuses heavily on test software development, test system integration, and the modernization of legacy test solutions by migrating existing software onto new test equipment. They will develop fully automated test solutions combining software and hardware and participate in test system hardware design and integration. The engineer will work closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver fully automated, reliable, and manufacturable test solutions for aerospace products. This role will require working on site in Grand Rapids 4-5 days/week.
