This full-time,onsite position involves serving as a Test & Commissioning Field Engineer within the railway transportation sector. The role is centered on ensuring the successful integration, functionality, and safety of railway wayside signaling systems. The engineer acts as a key technical liaison, collaborating with multiple internal teams to oversee and execute field activities that validate system performance from installation through to final commissioning.

Responsibilities
  • Lead on-site installation, testing, and commissioning activities for railway signaling systems
  • Prepare and submit track access documentation for customer approval
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, regulatory mandates, and local laws
  • Verify system requirements and testing methodologies
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues and develop effective solutions
  • Provide clear communication and detailed reporting to project teams and customers
  • Support project planning and resource allocation
  • Deliver regular updates using key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Manage non-conformance reports and maintain precise test logs
  • Utilize established processes and reference libraries to drive performance improvements
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology or equivalent qualification
  • Preferred specialization in electronics, electrical, computer, railway, or telecommunications engineering
  • Experience or fundamental understanding of signaling projects and railway installation/testing protocols
  • Knowledge of electrical, electronic, and telecommunications systems
  • Valid driver's license with a clean record
  • Familiarity with safety and Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent collaboration and communication abilities
  • Willingness to work in field conditions, including night shifts and assignments at various locations
  • Analytical mindset for diagnosing complex system issues
  • Proactive attitude toward professional growth within the rail industry
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural, team-oriented environment
