Pearson VUE in Schaumburg, IL is hiring a regular full-time Test Center Manager to oversee daily operations, coordinate Test Administrators, and ensure a secure, efficient testing center.

Starting pay is $21.00 per hour. This benefits-eligible role includes coaching, scheduling, training, and addressing facility issues, with onsite leadership of a small team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ year supervisory or team-lead experience preferred.
• Strong communication and training skills in a testing environment preferred.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic computer operations.

Responsabilités

• 60% of daily tasks are Test Administrator responsibilities: Opens/closes site on time, verifies IDs, explains exam process, monitors examinees, maintains security, coordinates with IT for issues, adheres to policies, keeps testing center clean, arrives on time for shifts.
• 40% of daily tasks are Test Center Manager responsibilities: Onsite manager of a small team, staffing/hiring/scheduling, trains/coaches staff, first contact for facility issues, ability to multi-task.

You will utilize your communication and customer skills with externalcustomers while also working to select new Test Administrators, provide job coaching, and fair performance appraisals to current employees.

Starting pay is $21.00 per hour.

SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS

Our ideal candidate demonstrates teamwork and has the availability to work a variety of shifts any day from Monday through Saturday, between the hours of 7:15 AM and 8:00 PM, with about 2 Saturdays per month. Sunday shifts are possible, but infrequent.

Candidate must be open to flexible scheduling.

It'll be 35 to 40 hours per week with an expectation to work more hours if needed.

You must be available to assist local sites as needed and to address operational problems when not at the test center.

RESPONSIBILITIES

60% of daily tasks are Test Administrator responsibilities:

• Performs on-time site opening and closing procedures.
• Understands all testing procedures.
• Checks in examinees, verifies identification and explains the exam process.
• Monitors examinees while testing.
• Maintains a secure testing environment.
• Communicates with internal technical support to investigate and fix technical issues.
• Strictly adheres to company policies using careful judgment.
• Responsible for maintaining a professional and clean testing center with light housekeeping duties.
• Arrive on time for all scheduled shifts.

40% of daily tasks are Test Center Manager responsibilities:

• The Test Center Manager is the onsite manager of a small team of Test Administrator employees.
• Site staffing/hiring/retention/conflict resolution/scheduling.
• Trains, develops, and coaches staff.
• First contact for facility issues.
• Ability to multi-task.

QUALIFICATIONS

• At least 1-year customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
• Strong communication, team leading, and training skills, with exposure to a testing environment preferred.
• Must be flexible with work hours and days.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Windows applications, Internet, and email.
• Ability to operate a computer, fax, and telephone.
• Must maintain focus in quiet environments and hear soft-spoken words.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs occasionally.
• Able to stand for long periods and escort candidates frequently per shift.
• Must be able to sit for extended periods.
• Ability to bend, stoop, and lift from a stooped position.
• Must see small details at a distance and clearly read names on ID cards and screens.
