Pearson VUE in Washington, PA seeks a regular full-time Test Center Manager. You will oversee a small team, hire and train staff, and ensure smooth testing operations at the 95 West Beau Street site. The role supports 7:00 AM–9:00 PM shifts with some Saturdays, 35–40 hours weekly, and includes benefits from day one.

Qualifications

• At least 1-year customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
• Strong communication, team leading, and training skills, with exposure to a testing environment preferred.
• Must be flexible with work hours and days.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Windows applications, Internet, and email.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs occasionally.
• Able to stand for long periods and escort candidates frequently per shift.

Responsibilities

• 60% of daily tasks are Test Administrator responsibilities: Performs on-time site opening and closing procedures, checks in examinees, verifies identification and explains the exam process, monitors examinees while testing, maintains a secure testing environment, coordinates with technical support to fix issues, and keeps the center clean and professional.
• 40% of daily tasks are Test Center Manager responsibilities: Manages onsite team of Test Administrators, handles staffing, scheduling, and retention, trains and coaches staff, serves as first contact for facility issues, and multi-tasks as needed.

SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS

Our ideal candidate demonstrates teamwork and has the availability to work a variety of shifts any day from Monday through Saturday, between the hours of 7:00 AM and 9:00 PM , with about 2-3 Saturdays per month.

Candidate must be open to flexible scheduling.

This is strictly a part-time position and will remain as such, 35 to 40 hours per week , with an expectation to work more hours if needed.

You must be available to assist local sites as needed and to address operational problems when not at the test center.

RESPONSIBILITIES

60% of daily tasks are Test Administrator responsibilities:

• Performs on-time site opening and closing procedures.
• Understands all testing procedures.
• Checks in examinees, verifies identification and explains the exam process.
• Monitors examinees while testing.
• Maintains a secure testing environment.
• Communicates with internal technical support to investigate and fix technical issues.
• Strictly adheres to company policies using careful judgment.
• Responsible for maintaining a professional and clean testing center with light housekeeping duties.
• Arrive on time for all scheduled shifts.

40% of daily tasks are Test Center Manager responsibilities:

• The Test Center Manager is the onsite manager of a small team of Test Administrator employees.
• Site staffing/hiring/retention/conflict resolution/scheduling.
• Trains, develops, and coaches staff.
• First contact for facility issues.
• Ability to multi-task.

QUALIFICATIONS
