Job summary

Lufthansa Technik in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Test Cell Technician to work hands-on with world-class aircraft engines, perform testing and troubleshooting, and keep test cell operations running safely and efficiently. Your main tasks include engine testing activities such as removal/install, data recording, calibration of test cell equipment, and post-processing of test data to support flight readiness.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 2 years of jet engine maintenance experience

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of jet engine maintenance experience or related field.
• Fluency in English required.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to travel, work overtime and night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic testing of engines.
• Safely operate the engine under test in the test cell.
• Remove and install engines on the test cell.
• Record engine test data accurately.
• Calibrate test cell measurement equipment.
• Post-process of test data and results.
• Read and interpret manuals and work orders to perform duties.

Tasks

Your main tasks include, among others:

• Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, repair, and testing of Rolls Royce Tay, PW V2500 and CFM56-5B/7B engines
• Perform safe operation of the engine under test
• Perform removal and installation of engines on the test cell
• Ensure accurate data recording of engine test parameters
• Calibrate test cell measurement equipment
• Post processing of test data
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required duties
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments
• Complete routine maintenance of the test cell (oil changes, fuel fill, etc.)
• Calibrate test cell measurement equipment
• Post processing of test data
• Perform other duties as assigned by Production Manager
