Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector invites you to bring your pioneering spirit to our collaborative teams. As a Senior Test Automation Software Engineer – Level 5, you’ll be onsite in Morrisville, NC or Aurora, CO, defining the art of the possible from day one.

This role requires TS/SCI clearance, strong Agile leadership, and hands-on experience with Python, test automation frameworks, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines. The position operates on a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off.

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI clearance current and within scope
  • Experience with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence)
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in an Agile delivery framework
  • Experience converting requirements into Epics, Features, and User Stories
  • Experience with Python and at least one of the test automation frameworks (Behave, Zephyr, Cucumber, RFT, Robot Framework)
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Nexus
  • Experience with CI/CD orchestration using Jenkins and GitLab
  • Knowledge of MBSE and Doors/Cameo is a plus
  • Excellent communication with internal/external stakeholders

As a senior Test Automation Software Engineer – Level 5 located in Morrisville, NC or Aurora, CO, you’ll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one.

This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work.

This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.

What You’ll Get To Do
  • Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
  • Analyses are performed at all levels of total system products to include concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
  • Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
  • Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
  • Maintain existing operations procedures and keep up to date to include lessons learned from real-time performance.
  • Develop new procedures as required. Interface with program and customer personnel.

This position is contingent upon the candidate obtaining final clearances and program access(es) within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company.

Basic Qualifications For Level 5
  • Bachelor’s degree with 12 years of relevant experience – OR – Master’s degree with 10 years of relevant experience – OR – PhD with 8 years of relevant experience.Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • Requires an active U.S. Government DoD Top-Secret (TS)/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance [TS/SCI] current and within scope, at time of application, with the ability to reasonably succeed a counterintelligence polygraph
  • Experience with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence)
  • Experience working in a software Agile delivery framework leading cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with product lifecycles for new and existing products (replacement for must have product development experience).
  • Ability to understand wants vs. needs of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience converting technical and business requirements into Epics, Features, and User Stories.
  • Experience in the use of Python software language
  • Experience with one or more of the following Test automation frameworks and tools: Behave, Zephyr, Cucumber, RFT, Robot Framework
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Nexus
  • Experience with CI/CD orchestration utilizing Jenkins and GitLab
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current/Active CI or FS polygraph
  • STEM degree
  • Experience in the use of Java, C, or C++ software languages
  • Detailed familiarity with space system operational documentation
  • Have current read on to program for immediate program access
  • Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
  • Familiarity with requirements management in Doors and Cameo
  • Current CompTIA Security + certification
  • Agile Product Owner and/or Scrum Master certifications

Primary Level Salary Range: $169,000.00 - $253,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
