Job summary

Americo is hiring a full-time Test Automation Engineer to join our expanding IT team at our Downtown Kansas City, MO location. The role focuses on developing and executing automated testing coverage for life insurance and annuity applications.

You will collaborate with QA, developers, and business partners, maintain test data, improve frameworks, and continue building C# automation skills while deepening understanding of Americo's products and systems.

Qualifications

• Foundational QA skills including requirement analysis, defect tracking, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to understand and analyze testing requirements and track defects.
• Familiarity with object-oriented concepts and C# programming basics.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for applications and user stories.
• Execute automated test suites in local and shared environments and review results.
• Troubleshoot failed tests to identify if defects, data issues, or environment problems.
• Prepare and maintain test data reflecting core workflows for automated tests.
• Contribute to automation framework components and utilities for reliability and reuse.
• Document test cases, outcomes, and known issues for audits or releases.
• Collaborate with QA, developers, and business partners to clarify requirements and assess testability.
• Continue building C# and automation skills while understanding Americo's products and systems.
