Job description

Software Quality Assurance Specialist

Location: Omaha, NE (hybrid – approximately 50% in office). The role is not eligible for employer visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Plan testing (regression, functional, data validation, system integration, load, or performance) for new and existing functionality.
• Collaborate with teams to design testing strategies and integrate testing into the software development lifecycle.
• Identify opportunities to reduce testing time and effort through automation of repeatable tests.
• Execute and implement test cases, working with engineers, product partners, and business stakeholders.
• Document and analyze test results, recommending corrective actions.
• Act as team lead for technical questions related to testing coverage and practices.
• Champion a testing and quality mindset within the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3+ years of related work experience.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) and agile planning tools such as Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Selenium, C#, Postman, and related technologies.
• Familiarity with continuous delivery and continuous integration.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution.
• Knowledge of the insurance industry and product concepts preferred.
• Experience with application performance monitoring and observability tools.
