Job summary

Americo Financial Life and Annuity is hiring a full-time Test Automation Engineer to join our expanding IT team in downtown Kansas City, MO. The role focuses on developing and executing automated testing coverage for life insurance and annuity systems, collaborating with QA, developers, and business partners to ensure quality releases.

Work hours are 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM on site. You will advance automation skills and contribute to reusable framework components while supporting audits and release

Qualifications

• Foundational QA skills, including requirement analysis, defect tracking, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with basic programming concepts, especially C#.
• Experience adding automated tests to an existing framework using Selenium WebDriver or a comparable tool.
• Basic familiarity with API and web services testing concepts, including REST, SoapUI, or Postman.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for assigned applications using approved frameworks and standards.
• Execute automated test suites in local and shared environments and review results for accuracy.
• Troubleshoot failed tests to determine cause and elevate findings with evidence.
• Prepare test data and scenarios reflecting core life insurance workflows for automation.
• Collaborate with QA, developers, and business partners to clarify requirements and assess testability.
