Job summary

Good co India is seeking a senior QA automation architect to lead the design and delivery of scalable automation across UI, API, and mobile platforms. You will architect and implement enterprise-grade frameworks, mentor engineers, and partner with DevOps and product teams to raise quality across the SDLC.

The role requires deep hands-on expertise with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, and modern languages such as Java, Python, or TypeScript, plus strong CI/CD and cloud experience.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in software testing/QA with hands-on automation and framework development.
• Experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale automation frameworks.
• Strong programming skills in Java, Python, JavaScript or TypeScript.

Responsibilities

• Design and define the overall test automation architecture and strategy across applications and platforms.
• Architect scalable, maintainable automation frameworks for UI, API, mobile, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Evaluate and select automation tools, technologies, frameworks, and coding standards.
• Lead development and implementation of automation frameworks using Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, Java, Python, or TypeScript.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows.
• Establish automation standards, design patterns, coding guidelines, and best practices.
• Identify opportunities to improve test coverage, execution speed, reliability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with QA, Software Engineering, DevOps, Product, and Architecture teams to embed quality throughout SDLC.
• Design automation solutions for microservices, APIs, databases, cloud environments, and distributed systems.
• Review automation code, conduct technical assessments, and ensure adherence to engineering standards.
• Troubleshoot flaky tests, framework issues, environment problems, and automation failures.
• Define automation KPIs and provide technical reporting on test coverage, execution, defects, and quality trends.
• Mentor QA automation engineers and provide technical leadership across automation initiatives.
• Research emerging testing technologies and continuously improve the organization's quality engineering capabilities.
