Job summary

MAHLE is seeking a Validation Lab Technician in Lockport, NY to perform performance and durability testing on automotive HVAC and cooling components. You will install instrumentation, set up tests, run procedures, collect data, and collaborate with engineers to meet test requirements.

Requires an AAS in automotive/mechanical/electrical or equivalent, 3–5 years automotive experience, and strong problem-solving with MS Office and data analysis skills. ASE and EPA 608 certifications preferred.

Your Contribution

As aValidation Lab Technician, reporting to the Head of AC Testing – NA, you will be responsible for conducting performance and durability testing of automotive HVAC and engine cooling components. Duties include installation/removal of test parts, instrumentation, running tests, and collecting data. Works with engineers to understand test requirements.

This role is responsible to:

• Set up HVAC systems and components for testing
• Install instrumentation for temperature, pressure, flow
• Interface with test systems
• Execute testing procedures
• Interpret test data and report issues
• Troubleshoot and repair test equipment
• Cross-train across test lab areas
• Maintain clean work area
• No supervisory responsibilities

Your Experience & Qualifications

• AAS in Automotive/Mechanical/Electrical or equivalent
• 3-5 years automotive experience preferred
• ASE certification preferred
• EPA 608 certification preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Proficient in MS Office
• Fluent in English, strong written and verbal skills
• Apply high school math concepts
• Problem solving and data analysis skills
