Job summary

USfalcon is seeking a Senior Test and Evaluations Engineer to support a DoD program at Offutt AFB, NE. You will lead independent DT&E activities, perform SQA, review code, and develop test plans and reports.

The role requires TS/SCI eligibility, 10+ years of related experience including DoD, and strong SDLC and Agile skills. Travel TBD; benefits include medical, dental, vision and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years relevant experience including 5 years supporting the DoD.
  • Strong knowledge and experience across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Strong hands-on software design and coding experience.
  • Understanding of Agile software methodology and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Software Quality Assurance (SQA) to ensure software meets quality specs.
  • Review source code and configuration files; provide resolutions.
  • Code features/functions and perform functional/performance tests.
  • Lead peer design and code reviews.
  • Develop build, packaging, and deployment scripts.
  • Document test plans, cases, and execute tests; report findings.
  • Coordinate test events with stakeholders and government program offices.
  • Lead DT&E activities; serve as LDTO POC and coordinate Test Readiness Reviews.
  • Create test objectives; define tests and metrics.
  • Evaluate operational feasibility and propose solutions.
  • Support policy/process improvements and OPLAN knowledge.

Job description

We have an exciting opportunity to join us in supporting one of our valued customers as aTest and Evaluations Engineer, Senior to work out of Offutt AFB, NE.

  • Perform Software Quality Assurance (SQA) to ensure that developed software meets and complies with defined or standardized quality specifications.
  • Review source code and configuration files, and provide software engineering resolution support.
  • Perform coding tasks for features/functions and/or functional/performance tests for features/functions.
  • Perform peer design and code reviews with other team members.
  • Perform coding/scripting tasks for software build, packaging, and deployment.
  • Perform work that applies broad and practical knowledge of software engineering to include but not be limited to, reviewing, preparing, and analyzing all types of documentation, planning, requirements, design, support, and test.
  • Perform actual hands-on documentation of test scripts and execution of those tests; provide reports of findings and functionality.
  • Provide full spectrum test support for government programs, including developing test plans and test reports; and assisting and coordinating test events with interested parties (program office, contractor, user, AFOTEC, external agencies).
  • Lead the planning, managing, and execution of the independent government test and evaluation portion of Developmental Test & Evaluation (DT&E); act as the Lead DT&E (LDTO) POC.
  • Lead Test Readiness Reviews and support Production Readiness Reviews.
  • Serve as Secretariat for the Integrated Testing Team (ITT) and Chair Deficiency Review Boards (DRBs); provide summaries to stakeholders.
  • Develop test objectives; create detailed test cases, procedures, and scenarios; define, gather, and report accurate test-related metrics.
  • Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
  • Improve operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures.
  • OPLAN Knowledge and success working with Leadership on structural plan changes
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 10 years relevant experience to include:
    • 5 years supporting the DoD
    • Strong knowledge and experience across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
    • Strong hands-on software design and coding experience
    • Understanding of Agile software methodology and processes
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior RBS or infrastructure services experience
Education/ Certification:
  • MA/MS in related field; additional years of experience may be used in lieu of degree
