Job summary

ConServ Building Services is urgently hiring experienced Test and Balance Technicians in the Tampa Bay area. The position offers competitive pay and a strong benefits package designed to attract skilled technicians.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in test and balance.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• NEBB certification required.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations.
• Must be able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge and understanding of the tools and techniques used to maintain, diagnose problems, and repair HVAC/R and associated electrical systems.
• Study system blueprints, specifications, and performance data to determine the proper configuration and purpose of the system’s components, such as motors, pumps, fans, switches, ducts, or pipes.
• Adjust the system’s controls to settings recommended by the vendor, conduct measurement tests, and discuss system malfunctions with system users to isolate problems.
• Test and Balance Technicians conduct HVAC test and balance procedures in either new construction and/or remodel-type projects.
• They collect and tabulate system test data, make field observations and coordinate closely with other construction trades such as electrical, mechanical, temperature control, and design teams.
• Prepare takeoffs and job setup, tracking of all instruments for recalibration requirements yearly.
