The Test and Balance (TAB) Project Supervisor is responsible for leading Testing, Adjusting & Balancing (TAB) projects from planning through completion while providing leadership, coaching, and technical guidance to team members. This role serves as a field leader who coordinates project execution, project schedules, manpower requirements, client communication, and project documentation while ensuring EAB's quality and safety standards are maintained.

The successful candidate will be expected to manage project activities, communicate with owners, contractors, architects, and engineers, and help develop the next generation of EAB technicians through training and mentorship.

  • Lead assigned TAB projects from project startup through completion.
  • Coordinate schedules and manpower requirements with Project Coordinators, Project Managers, and Branch Leadership.
  • Review project documents and develop testing and balancing strategies.
  • Conduct pre-TAB field observations to identify system readiness.
  • Attend project meetings and provide detailed project updates.
  • Communicate professionally with architects, engineers, contractors, owners, and project stakeholders.
  • Review recorded field data daily for accuracy and completeness.
  • Develop report summaries and assist with preparation of final TAB reports.
  • Monitor construction progress and anticipate manpower requirements throughout project execution.
  • Track project impacts and support change order documentation when scope changes occur.
  • Work with project teams to identify and resolve deficiencies.
  • Train, coach, and develop technicians and team members.
  • Establish project goals, assign responsibilities, and communicate expectations to team members.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and project-specific safety requirements.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or HSE required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field preferred.
  • AABC Test and Balance Certification and/or CERT (Critical Environment Testing) Certification preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of five years of Testing, Adjusting & Balancing (TAB) experience required.
  • Experience leading projects, coordinating field activities, and managing project schedules.
  • Experience communicating directly with owners, architects, engineers, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
  • Experience training, mentoring, and developing technical personnel preferred.
