Job summary

Regal Rexnord is seeking a Test and Manufacturing Automation Engineer to develop and maintain automated test equipment and software supporting global factories. You’ll work with R&D and operations on NPI and process improvements for motors and related assemblies, including tests, fixtures, and data systems.

The role requires strong LabVIEW, C++, C#, MATLAB, or VB experience, CAD proficiency, and a solid background in electrical/mechanical controls.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering, physics, mechatronics, automation, controls, robotics, or CS.
• Strong LabVIEW, C++, C#, MATLAB or VB experience.
• CAD software design experience (AutoCAD/SolidWorks/Inventor/Pro-E).
• Solid electrical, mechanical, and controls background to troubleshoot.

Responsibilities

• Maintain operations support; analyze data for quality issues and corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot and determine root causes and corrective actions (RCCA).
• Design and modify automated test and process equipment using electrical schematics, CAD, test software, and SQL databases.
• Work with new equipment to meet production requirements and maintain systems.
• Support the implementation of Standard Work and perform quality checks.
• Collaborate with development, manufacturing, and production teams to resolve issues.

Work Model

This is a fully onsite role, with work performed at your designated Regal Rexnord office.

Position Overview

The Test and Manufacturing Automation Engineer are responsible for developing and maintaining customized automation equipment, processes, programs, and databases for global factories. They work with both R&D and operations to support New Product Introduction as well as improve operational efficiency and quality. The engineer is responsible for the test analysis, software development, and maintenance of test equipment, programs, and fixtures related to the development, fabrication, and production of products. These products will include electromagnetic devices such as motors as well as higher-level assemblies that may include motors, gears, lead screws, etc.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain operations support with an analytical mindset to help Deep Dive data for quality issues and develop robust corrective actions
• Troubleshoot and determine root cause/corrective action (RCCA)
• Design and modify a wide array of automated test and manufacturing/process equipment with regards to electrical schematics, mechanical CAD, test software, and SQL/MySQL databases
• Work with new and innovative equipment to maintain any system or process with the understanding of production requirements
• Support the implementation of Standard Work
• Perform necessary Quality checks and data collection
• Work with development team, manufacturing engineers as well as production personnel to resolve technical issues that are identified through the development and manufacturing process.
• Provide Design for Manufacturability/Testability feedback to the design team.
• Participation in activities pertaining to product evaluation test, including ABS events, design review meetings, meetings with suppliers, as required.
• Store final Test Spec and Gauge R&R results in SVN

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

• 2 years of experience with electric motors and/or rotating machinery
• Familiar with database structure and SQL language
• Familiar with various industry standard machine communication protocol
• Experience using precision measurement devices and data acquisition (analog, digital I/O, temperature, etc.)
• Experience reading and working to blueprints, work instructions, and schematics to troubleshoot problems or make required changes
• Experience with pneumatic or hydraulic systems

Onsite: -This role follows an Onsite Work Schedule and requires working from your designated Regal Rexnord office on a full‑time basis.

Expected Base Salary Range

[$54,600 - $81,900]
