Regal Rexnord Corp is seeking a Senior Test and Manufacturing Automation Engineer to upgrade, develop, and maintain customized automation equipment and software for global factories. You will collaborate with R&D and operations to support New Product Introduction and improve quality and throughput.

The role covers test analysis, software development, and maintenance of test equipment and fixtures, including SQL-based databases, in environments with motors and mechanical assemblies.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering, Physics, Mechatronics, Automation, Controls, Robotics, or CS.
• 5+ years work experience in automation/controls.
• Proven experience with LabVIEW, C++, C#, MATLAB, or VB.

Responsibilities

• Maintain operations support with an analytical mindset to help deep-dive data for quality issues and develop robust corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot and determine root cause/corrective action (RCCA).
• Design and modify automated test and manufacturing equipment with electrical schematics, CAD, test software, and SQL/MySQL databases.
• Work with new equipment to meet production requirements and support standard work implementations.
• Perform quality checks and data collection.

Job description

Work Model: This is a fully onsite role, with work performed at your designated Regal Rexnord office.

Position Overview:

The Senior Test and Manufacturing Automation Engineer is responsible for upgrading, developing, and maintaining customized automation equipment, processes, programs, and databases for global factories. They work with both R&D and operations to support New Product Introduction as well as improve operational efficiency and quality.

The engineer is responsible for the test analysis, software development, and maintenance of test equipment, programs, and fixtures related to the development, fabrication and production of products. These products will include electromagnetic devices such as motors as well as higher-level assemblies that may include motors, gears, lead screws, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain operations support with an analytical mindset to help Deep Dive data for quality issues and develop robust corrective actions
• Troubleshoot and determine root cause/corrective action (RCCA)
• Design and modify a wide array of automated test and manufacturing/process equipment with regards to electrical schematics, mechanical CAD, test software, and SQL/MySQL databases
• Work with new and innovative equipment to maintain any system or process with the understanding of production requirements
• Support the implementation of Standard Work
• Perform necessary Quality checks and data collection
• Work with development team, manufacturing engineers as well as production personnel to resolve technical issues that are identified through the development and manufacturing process.
• Provide Design for Manufacturability/Testability feedback to the design team.
• Participation in activities pertaining to product evaluation test, including ABS events, design review meetings, meetings with suppliers, as required.
• Store final Test Spec and Gauge R&R results in SVN

• Familiar with various industry standard machine communication protocol

Required Skills and Qualifications:

BS of Engineering, Physics, Mechatronics, Automation, Controls, Robotics, or Computer Science required

5 years minimum work experience

• Strong LabVIEW, C++, C#, Matlab, or VB experience
• CAD software design experience (e.g. AutoCAD, Solidworks, Inventor, or Pro-Engineer)
• Strong electrical, mechanical, and controls background is required to troubleshoot systems, machinery, and test equipment
• Experience using precision measurement devices and data acquisition (analog, digital I/O, temperature, etc.)

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

3 or more years work experience in automation and controls

2 years of experience with electric motors and/or rotating machinery

• Familiar with database structure and SQL language
• Familiar with various industry standard machine communication protocol
• Experience using precision measurement devices and data acquisition (analog, digital I/O, temperature, etc.)
• Experience reading and working to blueprints, work instructions, and schematics to troubleshoot problems or make required changes
• Experience with pneumatic or hydraulic systems

Work Type: Onsite: This role follows an Onsite Work Schedule and requires working from your designated Regal Rexnord office on a fulltime basis.

Expected Base Salary Range:

Expected Base Salary Range: [$83,500 - $129,800]

The salary range provided is intended to display the value of the company's basepaycompensation for this position. Salary is dependent on a multitude of factors, including but not limited to the physical worksite location, the geographic market of that location, candidate's skill set, level of experience,educationand internal peer compensationcomparisons among other potential factors.

This role may be filled atdifferent levelsdepending on the candidate's experience, skills, and business needs.
