Job summary

GCS Recruitment is seeking a detail-oriented QA professional to support software and mobile application testing initiatives. You will plan, execute, and validate tests across the SDLC, with a strong emphasis on functional, regression, and API testing.

You will work closely with Developers, Business Analysts, and Product teams in an Agile/Scrum environment to ensure high-quality releases and data integrity.

Qualifications

• Experience testing web-based and mobile applications.
• Strong manual testing experience.
• API testing experience using Postman or similar tools.
• Experience with SQL for data validation and troubleshooting.
• Solid understanding of SDLC.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.

Responsibilities

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented QA professional to support software and mobile application testing initiatives. This role will play a key part in ensuring product quality through effective test planning, execution, defect management, and validation throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute manual test cases and test scenarios
• Perform functional, regression, integration, exploratory, and mobile application testing
• Validate APIs and system integrations using tools such as Postman
• Document, track, and verify defects through resolution
• Create and manage test data required for testing activities
• Validate backend data and application functionality using SQL
• Collaborate closely with Developers, Business Analysts, and Product teams
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Reviews, and Retrospectives
• Analyze existing test coverage and identify gaps or improvement opportunities
• Ensure high-quality software releases that meet business and user requirements

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience testing web-based and mobile applications
