Job summary

Haley & Aldrich in the United States seeks a Senior Environmental Engineer II to join a technical support team on diverse projects. The role is full-time or part-time, based in the City, State office, with opportunities to lead scopes of work and client deliverables.

You will mentor staff, develop site models, and oversee design and remediation activities, while ensuring compliance with health and safety standards and regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of related experience.
• Professional registration or certification, as applicable.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Desire to master skills in the discipline and lead others.
• Environmental design and contract package development experience.
• Working knowledge of regulatory frameworks pertinent to the work.
• Proficient in GIS, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.

We are currently seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer 2 to work in a technical support role with highly skilled professionals on diverse project teams in a dynamic environment. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing group and company and get involved in a variety of projects for a diverse range of clients. This is afull-time {or part-time}position located in ourCity, Stateoffice.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

In this position, you will:

• Lead the execution of project work through individual contribution and delegation to lower-level staff.
• Understand and develop technical scopes of work and proposals in your specialty area and make connections between your and other aspects of the project to achieve client goals. Have an ability to recognize conditions that require modifications to accommodate client- or regulatory-specific requirements.
• Demonstrate and apply knowledge of codes, regulations, and professional standards of practice to assigned project work.
• Coach, mentor, and support staff to facilitate knowledge transfer and ensure high-quality execution of project tasks, technical reports, and deliverables.
• Use developing skills to be visible in your specialty area by giving internal and external technical presentations and attending external networking events.
• Play a significant leadership role in performing technical evaluations and developing conceptual site models on environmental projects.
• Lead the development of design drawings and specification and permit applications, working under the Engineer of Record.
• Perform or oversee field implementation of bench-scale and field pilot studies, remedial system installation, and O&M.
• Develop remedial action plans including plans and specifications for remedial system construction, working under the Engineer of Record.
• Plan and perform all work in accordance with company and client health and safety protocols.
• Demonstrate the company’s foundational safety behaviors.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Minimum Skills and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of related experience.
• Professional registration or certification, as applicable.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including verbally communicating and presenting project information.
• Desire to master skills in your discipline to become visible in the industry.
• Environmental design and contract package development experience.
• Working knowledge of regulatory frameworks pertinent to the work.
• Proficient in the use and application of GIS, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D software.

Preferred Skills:

• Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering or related field.
• Experience with soil, groundwater and air treatment technologies
• Hydrogeologic experience, including developing site conceptual models and assessment of fate and transport of contaminants.
• Design, construction and O&M experience with environmental remediation projects.
• OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER training and refresher updates.

The salary range for this position inCity, State is $XX,XXX - $XX,XXX annually. Actual compensation will be based upon a variety of factors such as education, related work experience, certificates, skills, and current market conditions. Haley & Aldrich reviews salary ranges each quarter to assess competitiveness with the market.
