Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin's Jack S Blanton Museum of Art is seeking a Database Manager to oversee the Tessitura CRM, data governance, and analytics. You will ensure data accuracy, security, and effective use across fundraising, memberships, marketing, and operations.

You will design dashboards, manage integrations with marketing and finance systems, and train staff on data standards to support audience development and institutional decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, data analytics or related field.
• At least three years of experience with an enterprise database system and data management.
• Advanced proficiency in CRM systems; Tessitura experience preferred.
• Familiarity with SQL database security standards and best practices.
• Detail oriented with strong problem solving and project management.
• Proficient with SQL, Excel, Outlook, and Word; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Govern data governance policies and procedures across the museum.
• Develop data standards for constituent records and data entry.
• Monitor data quality with audits, cleanup, and validation.
• Collaborate with departments to ensure consistent data use.
• Design and maintain dashboards and reports for leadership.
• Manage Tessitura integrations with third-party platforms.
• Train staff on Tessitura functionality and data standards.
• Provide ongoing user support and promote best practices.
