Job Description

The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for consistently exceeding new business production, direct written premium, and loss ratio goals, along with other KPIs on an annual basis. This is achieved by effectively managing agents in an assigned market to increase market share through profitable growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Location: Fully Remote - Southern Ohio (North of Lexington to Cincinnati)
  • Execute the business unit's annual plan for growth, profitability, agency engagement, and new appointments under the guidance of a Regional Sales Manager or Zone Director.
  • Promote a full suite of NGACC Insurance products to independent agency partners, including auto, homeowners, commercial vehicle, flood, and recreational vehicle (state-dependent).
  • Integrate products with industry technology and rating platforms within the market and agencies.
  • Consult with independent agencies, leveraging industry knowledge to gather market intelligence and promote NGAAC products or market enhancements.
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of new agency appointments and support national accounts and alternative distribution initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Product, Pricing, and Operations teams to analyze market issues and stakeholder needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions in CRM software.
  • Evaluate agency performance, identify training or skill gaps, and ensure alignment with business plans.
  • Assist agencies in creating strategic business plans and review progress periodically.
  • Act as a key liaison within the market, field-facing 4 days a week, driving business initiatives.
  • Increase quote and issuance flow beyond rate and underwriting trends.
  • Use data and reporting tools to identify trends and address agency performance issues.
Qualifications:
  • Location: Fully Remote - Southern Ohio (North of Lexington to Cincinnati)
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of sales management/leadership experience in Personal Lines Carriers or Financial Services
  • Proven ability to develop internal relationships and achieve results
  • Industry certifications and property & casualty licenses are preferred
Supervisory Responsibilities:

This role is an individual contributor position.

Compensation:

Base Pay Range: $83,000 - $124,600 USD
