Territory Sales Manager – Residential (Denver, CO)

As a Territory Sales Manager (TSM) – Residential, you will grow residential sales in the Denver, CO territory. You will coordinate with and contribute to the overall branch and company efforts to profitably grow our business. Responsibilities include:

  • Drive demand and grow sales of all Simpson product lines in the defined marketplace – active on job sites, prospecting, sales calls, presentations, demos, training, tool repair, etc.
  • Analyze industry and market needs; develop strategies; forecast territory demand; support customers and the company.
  • Generate and maintain specifications for single‑family and multi‑family projects.
  • Coach, train and manage the professional development of Dealer Sales Representatives – oversee activities, training, and performance through goal setting aligned with territory, branch, and company initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain key customer and channel partner relationships – provide training sessions, product demos, technical support, and problem‑solving.
  • Promote Simpson Strong‑Tie as an industry partner and employer – participate in trade shows, association meetings, committees, and educational opportunities across the territory.
  • Handle other duties: consistent CRM usage, scheduling, business planning, expense reports, vehicle maintenance, interview and hiring of Dealer Sales Representatives, and adhoc assignments.
Desired Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3–5 years of industry experience and/or training.
  • Fluent in residential construction practices and distribution channels.
  • Strong working knowledge of project workflow from architect/engineer to contractor.
  • Sales and account management experience with a proven record of sales/profit growth.
  • 2–3 years of management experience and proven ability to lead direct reports.
  • Technical aptitude to acquire product knowledge and act as a trusted resource.
  • Presentation skills – develop captivating presentations and guide prospects through a story.
  • Creative & innovative thinking.
  • Decision making & judgment, accountability & dependability, adaptability & flexibility.
  • Customer focus, self‑awareness, proactivity, influence, coaching & mentoring, leadership, organization & prioritization.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Salesforce CRM, SAP ERP, and other industry standard software.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
  • Frequent standing, walking, sitting, seeing, talking, hearing; occasional pushing or lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Work in professional office environment, customer sites and outdoor construction job sites; uses standard office equipment.
  • Noise may be loud at times; occasionally around moving mechanical parts.
Travel

Domestic and international travel up to 25% of the time.

Work Status & Location

Full‑time, exempt position located in the Denver, CO area. Relocation not available.

Compensation

$94,700 – $135,400 per year.
