Parker Hannifin is seeking a results-driven sales professional to manage a Dallas, TX territory, driving growth in OEM and distributor channels for engineered materials. You will secure specifications, build a robust pipeline, and expand multi-product opportunities while maintaining strong customer relationships.

You will coordinate with division management, stay current on products, and travel up to 60% to support distributors and customers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; 3+ years direct or distributor sales of industrial products.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; proficient PC skills including MS Office.
  • Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets and growing territory.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with OEM customers and distributors to grow revenue and margins.
  • Identify potential customers and build a strong sales pipeline in the Dallas, TX territory.
  • Map strategic accounts and markets, identify needs, key decision makers, and opportunities for expansion.
  • Develop technical knowledge of Parker products and stay current with training and product info.
  • Obtain specifications and approvals to drive increased sales opportunities per account.
  • Monitor competitive products and provide management with market reports and response strategies.
  • Support strategy planning to align Parker products with assigned accounts; cross-divisional referrals.
  • Provide product training to distributors and customers; motivate sales channels.

Job description

Position Summary

Responsible for maintaining/increasing sales volume and margin with existing and new accounts within OEM and/or industrial/distribution channels. Accountable for executing assigned sales goals and sales plans within our Dallas, TX territory. Responsible for securing and maintaining distribution of products and maintaining effective agreements. Actively supports the Corporation's Win Strategy. Proactively works with all division management and related support departments to ensure customer service needs are met or exceeded. Reports to Regional Sales Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships with OEM customers and distributor accounts while meeting position objectives. Ensure Parker products are specified to maintain and increase revenue by prioritizing the opportunities on an account-by-account basis to obtain optimum sales and margin results.
  • Identify and prospect potential customers within the assigned territory to build a strong sales pipeline.
  • Map out strategic accounts and markets by identifying technical, product and service needs, where the value resides, key decision makers & power sponsors, opportunities for revenue, product or service expansion
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive technical knowledge of group/division products, applications, features, advantages, and benefits. Remain current with relevant internal and external training and development.
  • Obtain specification and approvals at engineering firms, major accounts, and/or distributors assigned to develop increased sales opportunities and margins.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of competitive products and their activity in the marketplace and provide reports, on a regular and/or monthly basis. Keep management aware of changes that would affect the distribution of Parker products. Participate in the development and implementation of appropriate response strategies.
  • Assist the divisions in planning strategy to provide the products and services required for their assigned accounts. Actively support cross divisional and other group products with proper referrals.
  • Provide product training at the distributor and customer levels. Motivate and provide sales direction to the distributors. Assist in the conversion of competitive accounts to Parker.
Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3 years' experience in direct and/or distributor sales of industrial technical products; progressive experience in sales or divisional operations.
  • Effective communication, both oral and written; PC skills a must; MS Office Suite.
  • Past demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets; sustain sales growth in territory; proven track record of achieves plus experience.
  • Capable of multiproduct selling.
  • Must be able to travel overnight 50%-60% of time or as required.
Preferred
  • A technical degree is preferred.
  • Previous rubber industry and engineered sealing experience preferred.
  • Proper product and system certification preferred.
