Territory Sales Associate - Southeast Region

Territory Sales Associate - Transportation & Infrastructure

The Musco Transportation & Infrastructure Team is seeking a Territory Sales Associate for Central Florida. This role involves executing and managing sales strategies within a defined territory (Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia) or project type to meet or exceed sales and profitability goals, and helping develop new market areas. Responsibilities of the Territory Sales Associate include:

  • Collaborating with the Area Sales Lead for strategic guidance on territory and projects
  • Building communication networks and relationships with T&I customers, contractors, specifiers, and end-users, maintaining regular contact
  • Generating new sales and projects to meet team and department goals
  • Assessing customer lighting needs and recommending Musco products and services
  • Maintaining accurate and current project information in the sales database
  • Preparing quotes and budget estimates using pricing tools
  • Negotiating prices, credit terms, and collections
  • Identifying key relationships and decision-makers to maximize project opportunities
  • Presenting Musco's products and services effectively through various channels
  • Participating in weekly project updates and coordinating with technical staff for design and installation
  • Providing weekly and quarterly reports to the Area Sales Leader
  • Communicating regularly with the team to address needs and resource allocation
  • Attending corporate meetings and conference calls as needed

Qualifications for success:

  • College degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or equivalent experience
  • Proven sales success with technical products
  • Experience reviewing AutoCad, Project Plans, Google Earth preferred
  • Self-motivated with independent decision-making ability
  • Willing to travel extensively (50%)
  • Proficient in MS Office, MS Teams, email, internet, and mobile devices
  • Ability to understand and teach technical concepts
  • Analytical skills for bid and tender documents
  • Strong organizational, customer service, and communication skills
