Job summary

Dal-Tile Corp. is seeking an Outside Sales Rep to grow the countertop business in the New Jersey region, servicing existing customers and acquiring new accounts through cold calling.

The role requires a proven track record in sales, strong communication, and the ability to work with limited supervision in a field-based setting. Base pay ranges from $47,000 to $59,000 with additional incentives and company benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma; some college preferred.
• Computer skills with Word, Excel, and Lotus Notes/email.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
• Four years of prior selling experience.
• Customer service experience is a plus.
• Ability to work in an unstructured, unsupervised environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct weekly sales calls servicing existing customers and cold calling potential customers.
• Prepares weekly “Sales” and “Call” reports.
• Develops monthly strategy for sales calls and prepares monthly travel calendar based on that strategy.
• Conducts area market analysis of top accounts in each area.
• Researches area market product data to determine popular types, styles, and sizes.
• Grows market share by increasing sales and sales volume while maintaining margins.
• Completes “Positive Action Forms” for cold calls resulting in displays/sales.
• Utilizes negotiation skills to sell/place displays in showrooms.
• Conducts client follow-ups via phone, letters, and emails.
• Establishes and maintains client files and timely follow-ups on programs.
• Provides PK seminars to customers.
• Uses “On Demand” reporting to achieve sales objectives.
• Performs other duties as required.
