Job summary

Forged Fiber 37 seeks a Manager of Engineering and Construction to lead the Inside Plant and Outside Plant teams in a designated territory. You will manage engineers, construction staff, budgets, schedules, and customer commitments with a focus on safety and quality.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, 2–4 years of telecom engineering/construction experience, and at least 1 year of supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 2–4 years of telecom engineering and construction knowledge and experience.
• 1+ year of previous supervisory or leadership experience.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Manage people, budgets, and customer commitments for a designated territory.
• Supervise staff by appraising performance, training, salaries, and department objectives.
• Must be accessible 24 X 7 X 365.
• Drive training on new systems, improve processes and procedures across the organization.
• Support Forged Fiber 37 engineering teams and contractors with quality and productivity.
• Negotiate and/or bid projects with vendors/contractors for construction/installation of OSP facilities.
• Manage capital and expense budgets to meet build schedules for FTTT, Ethernet, GPON, CAF II and BAU work.
• Communicate cost analysis results and provide guidance on network impact of major plant additions.
