Job summary

Tryon Distributing in Black Mountain, NC is seeking a Merchandiser - Operations to maintain in-store displays and support deliveries across North Carolina. You will stock, rotate products, and build displays while ensuring excellent customer service for assigned accounts.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to safely lift, carry, and maneuver up to 175 lbs.
• Ability to use mobile Proof of Delivery (POD) device.
• Must be a team player and work well with minimum supervision.
• Knowledge of safe work practices.
• Ability to drive throughout assigned route in all kinds of weather and road conditions.
• Ability to work within tight time constraints in a fast-paced environment.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• One year of experience in a service-oriented or customer-facing position.
• Ability to work flexible hours.
• Previous box truck experience.
• Experience with material handling equipment (i.e. hand truck, dolly, pallet jack).

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to all assigned accounts.
• Stock, merchandise, and rotate product on displays and shelves per standards.
• Drive assigned routes or ride along with delivery drivers on major deliveries.
• Assist delivery drivers by unloading products, checking in, and stocking orders.
• Work orders in retail outlets that have been delivered and checked in.
• Build displays as required.
• Report daily activities within assigned territory.
• Collect on Open AR aging invoices.
• Make deliveries to assist drivers on the heaviest routes.
