Job summary

A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Territory Manager in our Surgery business unit within BD’s Interventional Segment, your day will be filled with engaging healthcare professionals, building relationships, and championing BD's innovative solutions in the hospital care setting. You'll use existing and emerging technologies (i.e. AI, salesforce.com) to strategically identify new business opportunities, efficiently implement territory plans, and drive incremental revenue growth through solution-based selling. You will also educate and train customers, deliver product demonstrations, provide procedural and clinical support during cases, and lead product evaluations and implementations that help improve customer outcomes and adoption of BD solutions.

  • Lead product evaluations and implementation activities by partnering with customers to assess needs, drive adoptions, and demonstrate the value of BD solutions.

What You’ll Bring

  • A bachelor’s degree is required and a minimum of four years of documented successful B2B or similar sales demonstrating performance; medical sales experience a plus
  • A valid state issued drivers license and the ability to meet BD’s auto safety standards.
  • Ability to meet and maintain customer/medical facility access and vendor credentialing requirements
  • The ability to travel within the territory on a daily basis to meet with customers, which at times requires early mornings and late evenings, including any overnight travel as required by the geography to meet expectations; adhoc other business travel for KOL engagement, dinners, meetings, tradeshows, conventions or similar
  • Ability to educate, train, and influence healthcare professionals through product demonstrations, clinical discussions, and consultative selling approaches.
  • Experience providing procedural support and applying clinical and product expertise to help customers achieve desired outcomes.
  • Strong execution skills to manage evaluations, implementations, customer training activities, and territory priorities in a complex healthcare environment.
  • Accountability for achieving revenue growth targets to deliver outstanding results through a focused and goal-oriented approach.
  • Collaboration skills to work constructively with others and meet shared business objectives.
  • Disciplined judgement when implementing effective solutions to solve problems and address root cause
  • Customer focus when anticipating and understanding your customer’s needs to deliver value
  • Resilience to perform under pressure; outperforming expectations, competitors, and peers.
  • Ability to work in an Operating Room respectfully, tolerate observing surgeries, and potentially standing on feet for extensive hours.
