CVRx is a company focused on therapies that harmonize the body’s natural systems. This role is for a Territory Manager, remote-based in the Philadelphia, PA area, responsible for market development, hands-on technical support, and achievement of sales targets through professional presentation, product knowledge, negotiations and closing skills.
The Role
As a Territory Manager at CVRx, you will combine market development expertise with hands-on technical support to ensure the success of CVRx technologies in therapeutic applications. The role is dynamic and multi-faceted, blending strategic planning, educational support, and direct clinical engagement.
Required capability includes professional presentation, product knowledge, negotiations and closing sales skills to meet or exceed sales targets.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develops and drives strategies, including resource development and deployment to meet patient implant and revenue goals.
- Ensures execution of strategies to deliver on metrics within the Territory.
- Demonstrates expert proficiency with Salesforce, dashboards, forecasting, and CVRx commercial applications, with the ability to teach others.
- Maintains a thorough understanding of complex physiological and technical principles pertaining to CVRx technologies and therapies.
- Supports implants and follow-up procedures, providing troubleshooting and technical assistance to healthcare providers and CVRx staff.
- Handles technical inquiries and researches solutions to questions or problems.
- Represents CVRx devices to cardiologists, hypertension specialists, and surgeons to ensure understanding of the clinical therapy.
- Provides on-call clinical support as needed, including in-service education and training for physicians and hospital staff.
- Contributes R&D feedback on product enhancements or new product ideas.
- Adheres to sales management processes and uses reporting systems to implement commercial strategy; maintains accurate device records in Salesforce.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATIONAL TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
- BS or equivalent in health sciences, engineering, or business, or a combination of experience and education.
- 7–10+ years in medical device industry or related experience with implantable medical devices.
- Experience with cardiology or cardiovascular health devices; familiarity with heart failure devices is a plus.
- Ability to master medical and surgical concepts and active implantable device technology.
- Proven ability to execute commercial strategies and develop markets.
- Experience working with KOLs, APPs and other healthcare contacts in the territory.
- Knowledge of prior authorization challenges and compliant strategies to address them.
- Understanding of competitive devices and market dynamics related to CVRx devices.
- Patient-focused approach and ability to navigate insurance authorization challenges.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, negotiation and closing skills; demonstrated leadership.
- Forecasting ability and goal attainment in territory management.
- Self-motivated, resilient, and capable of nurturing relationship-based selling.
- Ability to travel up to 75% annually; a reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license; ability to travel by air as needed.
PREFERRED EDUCATIONAL TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
- MBA or other advanced degree.
- Experience with KOLs/APPs and other healthcare contacts in the territory.
- Direct healthcare or clinical experience is beneficial.
- Demonstrated success in clinical or CVRx commercial roles.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Normal remote office conditions; ability to interface with multiple departments and physicians.
- Capable of lifting up to 10 lbs. and traveling up to 75% annually.
- Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and meet site credentialing requirements.

Salary and compensation: Salary range for U.S. locations: 100,000 per year, plus a variable incentive plan (VIP) with uncapped potential; base salary range applicable across the U.S. and may vary by experience and location.
