Arthrex Chicago is seeking a results-oriented Territory Manager to drive sales goals across an assigned Illinois region. You will lead a team, build surgeon relationships, and present our implants and instruments in operating rooms with exceptional product knowledge.

You will work with the Regional Director to strategize, coach teammates, forecast opportunities, and maintain CRM data while delivering outstanding customer service to healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of Arthrex sales experience or another competitive Medical Device Company.
  • 1+ years managing a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Aptitude for highly technical medical information relating to surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Represent Arthrex-Chicago in a fast-paced environment with surgeons and healthcare professionals.
  • Oversee team to achieve and exceed territory sales objectives.
  • Consult with surgeons in the operating room regarding implants and instruments.
  • Build and maintain customer relationships to support sales.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies with team members to meet goals.
  • Identify new opportunities and develop business plans to increase sales.
  • Maintain CRM with forecasting, lead generation, and account maintenance.
  • Coach and mentor Sales Associates; participate in leadership and meetings.

Job description

The Territory Manager (TM) is responsible for achieving predetermined sales goals and quotas within his or her team's assigned territory. S/He must establish, build, and maintain customer relations through excellent communication and in-person appointments. They must maintain expert knowledge of our market-leading product portfolio and use this information to drive sales, motivate our sales force and serve our clients. They will be consulting with surgeons in the operating room regarding the use of our implants and instruments. To be a TM, an established record as an orthopedic sales manager or leader in the field is required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Represent Arthrex-Chicago by working in a fast-paced environment with a sophisticated audience comprised of surgeons & healthcare professionals.
  • Primarily responsible for working with the Regional Director to oversee and direct the team in achieving and exceeding territory sales objectives
  • Consulting with surgeons in the operating room regarding the use of our implants and instruments.
  • Build and maintain an excellent rapport with current and new customers to support relationships.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies with each team member, enabling the team to meet and exceed territory objectives and goals.
  • Work with the team in the territory to increase sales volume by identifying new sales opportunities and developing necessary business plans to attain goals.
  • Maintain an accurate proprietary customer relationship management (CRM) database which includes forecasting, lead generation, and account maintenance.
  • Guide the team in communicating with all accounts regarding product updates, changes to product portfolio, new techniques, and educational programs.
  • Work with Sales Associates by facilitating training, coaching, or mentoring.
  • Complete annual reviews and guide performance improvement plans.
  • Participate in and attend leadership, sales, and professional association meetings outside of regular business hours, as required.
  • Maintaining independent study to remain current on products and procedures.
  • Commitment to the personal development of management skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 55 pounds on a regular basis.
Requirements
Education and Experience:
  • 2+ years of Arthrex sales experience or another competitive Medical Device Company
  • 1+ years managing a team
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Aptitude for highly technical medical information, anatomy, as it relates to surgical procedures and equipment
  • Adaptable to fast paced environments / strong sense of urgency
