Job summary

National General is seeking a Territory Sales Manager to exceed new business production and direct written premium by effectively managing the agents in an assigned market. This role focuses on growing market share by driving profitable growth with independent agency partners across auto, homeowners, and specialty lines.

You will deliver on the market’s annual execution plan, build agency engagement, and leverage production data to identify opportunities.

Qualifications

• 4 year Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience preferred.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote National General products to Independent Agency Partners, including auto, homeowners, flood, and specialty lines.
• Drive the market's growth by securing new appointments and increasing written premium.
• Maintain field presence 4 days per week as the primary liaison with independent agencies and industry associations.
• Collaborate with agencies to craft and adjust short- and long-term strategic business plans.
• Use production data and CRM to identify trends, opportunities, and performance improvements.
• Coordinate with Product, Pricing, and Operations on market issues and initiatives.
