Job summary

Surge Staffing is seeking a Business Development Representative to identify and secure new revenue opportunities within a defined geographic area. You will develop and execute sales strategies, lead prospecting efforts, and work with field management to optimize activities and close deals.

Responsibilities include managing target accounts, conducting calls and presentations, and maintaining accurate activity records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years outside direct sales experience with consultative selling.
• Ability to travel to customer sites and other offices.

Responsibilities

• Develop account sales plans with a manager for target accounts.
• Identify prospects and develop sales strategies to secure new business.
• Conduct prospect, active and inactive account calls independently.
• Lead primary sales resource on identified target accounts and create the account plan.
• Collaborate with staff to enhance product knowledge and close sales.
• Support driving sales closure to shorten the sales cycle and meet goals.
• Analyze prospect needs to tailor company products and services.
• Establish contacts in the business community and participate in networking events.
• Record all business and sales activity in company database and reports.
