Role Summary
A Receiving & Fulfillment Associate supports the operations of the brand with an emphasis on plant receiving and distribution processes, product order fulfillment, and nursery maintenance tasks to uphold terrain’s four promises: to welcome, to inspire, to inform and to appreciate our customer.
Role Responsibilities
Customer Experience
- Contributes to the brand experience by being positive, respectful, and helpful to others
- Supports the omni customer with fulfilling all online plant orders
- Prioritizes timely and accurate execution of plant receiving and distribution
- Assists with basic plant care tasks and assists with maintaining outdoor areas and systems in all seasons
Teamwork + Communication
- Facilitates the sharing of relevant information regarding shipment receiving, order fulfillment, and back of house organization; actively participates in assigned projects
- Takes initiative and works productively with the consolidation team to achieve common, collaborative goals; remains flexible as priorities change due to business needs
- Communicates daily with the leadership team on flow of shipment, plant quality, shipping damages, sku issues, and shipment count discrepancies; assists with claims documentation and communication as needed
- Partners with the leadership team to maintain stock organizational while keeping all receiving, shipping, stock, supply, and production areas clean
Visual + Business Operations
- Collaborates with key partners to receive all shipment deliveries and process according to visual standards; maintains a record for all receiving paperwork for store’s inventory integrity
- Assists with pulling buyer requested product for shipment to other locations and processes required transfer paperwork with accuracy; works with the consolidation transportation & shipping team to fulfill distribution requests
- Adheres to terrain’s safety standards, inventory accuracy, reduction of product loss, and upholds all company policy and procedures to support the profitability of the brand

- Basic knowledge of horticulture
- Ability to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the store including nights, weekends, and holidays
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift in excess of 50lbs and push 100lbs on a daily basis
- Willing and able to work in greenhouses and outdoors in all weather conditions
- Responsible for operating machinery and other equipment safely (i.e. forklift, skid steer, pallet jack, box cutter, carts)
