Job summary

Jay Peak Resort is seeking a Terrain Park Ranger to help shape our terrain parks by performing daily feature maintenance and guest interactions. The role emphasizes safety, hands-on park work, and collaboration with Patrol to ensure guest enjoyment.

Qualifications

• No prior experience or training required.

Responsibilities

• Daily raking and maintaining terrain park features.
• Ride features and interact with guests.
• Set up and take down fencing.
• Respond to incidents with Patrol to keep guests safe.
• May assist with fabrication projects and provide input on park construction.
• Promote a culture of applying what you learn in the park to the woods and upper mountain.

It requires that work venues are varied, and in many cases include steep stairways, multilevel buildings and outdoor work areas, subject to very cold, sometimes wet or very sunny work sites. Some facilities are located at the base or bottom area and some are semi-remote and can only be reached by traveling via chair lift(s), skis or snowboards. Walking surfaces are frequently frozen, sloped and slippery. Proper footwear is a must, indoors and out. Work days and hours, as well as the number of hours required will vary, with an emphasis on weekends and holidays.
