  • Repair and refurbish existing features between and during the ski season: grinding and re-welding broken welds, replacing worn HDPE sliding surfaces, straightening bent frames, and repainting or finishing features for re-deployment.
Long Term Thinking
  • Maintain an organized, well-stocked fabrication shop - track raw material inventory (steel tubing, flat bar, plate, HDPE), manage hardware stock, and coordinate supply orders with the Terrain Parks Manager.
Develop Great People
  • Assist the Terrain Parks crew with seasonal feature setup, repositioning, and teardown, including loading, transporting, and placing features on the mountain using resort vehicles and equipment.
  • Support special fabrication projects such as competition feature builds for freestyle events, movie shoot setups, demo days, and park expansion initiatives.

  • Maintain all shop equipment - welding machines, cutting tools, and fabrication machinery - in safe operating condition, performing routine maintenance and promptly reporting issues.
  • Follow all shop safety protocols including proper PPE use (welding helmet, leather gloves, safety glasses, steel-toed boots), fire watch procedures, ventilation requirements, and safe material handling practices.
Serve First
  • Conduct thorough quality control inspections on all fabricated and repaired features to verify structural integrity, weld quality, smooth sliding surfaces, and safe mounting hardware before features are deployed on the mountain.
  • Prepare features for transport and on-mountain installation, including attaching mounting plates, stake brackets, ratchet strap points, and other hardware required for safe setup.
