Job summary

Crotched Mountain is seeking an Assistant Manager for Terrain Park to lead daily operations, direct hiring, and supervise staff for the winter season. This role partners with Mountain Operations to deliver safe, innovative terrain experiences and exceptional guest service while maintaining high team engagement.

The role involves hands-on leadership, feature design coordination, and ensuring compliance with risk management standards.

Qualifications

• Advanced skiing or snowboarding ability.
• Leadership or crew-lead experience.
• Valid Driver's License and high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead Safe & Exceptional Operations.
• Oversee daily Terrain Park operations and venue readiness.
• Support terrain feature construction, maintenance, inspections, and risk management.
• Ensure compliance with company safety standards and operating procedures.
• Partner with Grooming, Snowmaking, Ski Patrol, Lift Operations, and Trail Maintenance teams.
• Build & Develop High-Performing Teams across Snow Surfaces.
• Assist with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training employees.
• Develop schedules and staffing plans to support operational needs.
• Coach employees, provide performance feedback, and foster accountability.
• Promote employee engagement, recognition, and professional growth.
• Drive Operational Excellence.
• Coordinate labor resources across Terrain Parks and Snow Surfaces operations.
• Support budgeting, inventory management, and departmental reporting.
• Monitor terrain quality, operational performance, and guest feedback.
• Support special events, competitions, and resort initiatives.
