Job summary

Terrain Cafe is expanding with a fourth location in Wayland, MA, starting August 10th. We are hiring dynamic hospitality professionals for both full-time and part-time roles to join our opening team in a fast-paced environment.

Roles emphasize guest experience, dining room cleanliness, and team support. Prior restaurant experience is helpful but not required; a positive attitude and flexibility are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Entry level position; hospitality passion welcomed.
• Polished, professional appearance with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are important.
• Flexible availability including mornings, evenings, weekends, and select holidays.
• Physically able to stand, walk for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Terrain Cafe is expanding, opening our fourth location in Wayland, MA this August! We are looking for dynamic hospitality industry professionals to build our opening team. We are hiring for an August 10th start date! Both full-time and part-time positions available!

Role Responsibilities

Guest Experience & Table Support

• Deliver food and beverages accurately, with an understanding of menu details.
• Assist with guest needs and relay questions or concerns to the appropriate team member.
• Clear and reset tables within 3 minutes of guest departure.
• Assist with packaging takeout orders.
• Maintain awareness of the dining room and proactively assist where needed.

Dining Room & Service Maintenance

• Keep kitchen expo areas, service stations, and dining room clean and organized.
• Polish and restock silverware, glassware, and plateware throughout the shift.
• Monitor and remove trash and recycling regularly.
• Ensure safe and clear walkways for guests and staff at all times.

Operational & Team Support

• Memorize table and seat numbers to aid in efficient service.
• Learn menu details, ingredients, and allergen protocols.
• Communicate guest concerns clearly to team leads.
• Assist FOH staff during high-volume periods.
• Help with opening and closing duties, including setting/resetting the dining room.

Role Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred, but not necessary. This is an entry level position where anyone with a passion for details will thrive.
