Job summary

KellyMitchell is seeking a Terraform Infrastructure Engineer for a 12-month, W-2 contract with a Fortune 500 Oil & Gas client. The role is 100% onsite in Spring, TX, focusing on enterprise Terraform/ IaC and Azure administration to support cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines.

You will maintain Terraform codebases, develop reusable modules, manage state, and implement security controls and RBAC. Strong experience with Terraform, Azure networking, VMs, storage, and CI/CD tooling is

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on Terraform and Azure administration in enterprise environments.
• Deep IaC expertise and experience managing large Terraform codebases.
• Strong knowledge of Terraform modules, state, workspaces, variables, and secrets management.
• Experience with GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Solid Azure networking, VMs, storage, RBAC, governance.
• Proven debugging and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Job Summary

Our client, a leading Fortune 500 Oil & Gas company, is seeking a Terraform Infrastructure Engineer to join their team. This position is W-2 only. We do not work with third-party firms or C2C arrangements for this role.

Contract Details

Duration: 12-month contract with potential for extension

Location: Spring, TX

Work Model: 100% onsite

Core Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance enterprise Terraform codebases supporting cloud infrastructure
• Develop reusable Terraform modules and improve Infrastructure as Code (IaC) standards
• Manage Terraform state, deployment workflows, and automated provisioning processes
• Administer Azure infrastructure including networking, compute, storage, load balancing, and identity services
• Support CI/CD integrations for infrastructure deployment and automation initiatives
• Implement and maintain security controls, RBAC policies, and disaster recovery solutions
• Troubleshoot platform availability, performance issues, and infrastructure-related incidents

Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves)

• 5+ years of hands on experience with Terraform and Azure administration in enterprise environments
• Deep expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and best practices
• Experience maintaining and supporting large-scale Terraform codebases
• Strong knowledge of Terraform modules, state management, workspaces, variables, and secrets management
• Experience with GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, and infrastructure deployment pipelines
• Strong understanding of Azure networking, virtual machines, storage, security, RBAC, and governance
• Proven troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and cross-functional collaboration skills

Preferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves)

• Experience supporting highly regulated or disconnected cloud environments
• Experience supporting enterprise SQL Server infrastructure
• Familiarity with cloud security best practices and governance frameworks
• Experience implementing high availability and disaster recovery architectures
• Experience supporting enterprise platform modernization initiatives
• Exposure to GIS or location-based technology platforms
• Experience working within Agile delivery environments

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $57.00 and $82.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
