Job summary

BIRNS, Inc. in Oxnard, CA is seeking an experienced Termination Technician II for electro-mechanical assembly of complex cable and wire harnesses, lighting fixtures, and related components.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in electrical/mechanical assembly, reads wiring diagrams, and holds J-STD-001 and IPC-610/WHMA-A-620-A certifications or equivalent. Must be able to work a consistent schedule in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years direct electrical/mechanical assembly experience in a high tech manufacturing environment.
• Able to read and interpret wiring diagrams/electrical schematics in English.
• J-STD-001, IPC-610 and/or WHMA-A-620-A certifications highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, solder and crimp multi-strand cables to electrical connectors.
• Assemble lighting products and other electromechanical assemblies.
• Perform in-process quality control checks and document rejected parts with reasons.
• Analyze and record test results and prepare testing documentation.
• Support other factory functions as needed (molding, Quality, warehouse, etc.).
