Job summary

BWC Terminals is seeking a Terminal Operator to safely load and unload liquid products from storage tanks, trucks, railcars, and vessels while adhering to safety policies and procedures. You will handle hazardous and non-hazardous materials and ensure accurate documentation and regulatory compliance.

Headquartered in Houston, Texas, the company operates multiple terminals across North America. The role requires willingness to work overtime, weekends, and rotating shifts, with attention to safety

Qualifications

• High School degree or GED.
• 0-2 years of terminal operator experience.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License.
• Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card.
• Basic computer skills.
• Customer service focus.
• Ability to distinguish colors.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and/or rotating shift (8 hour or 12 hour).
• Ability to operate motor vehicle, track mobile, forklift, boiler, and similar equipment.
• Ability to wear safety equipment and PPE.
• Mechanically inclined and able to connect pipelines, hoses, and similar equipment.
• Ability to perform basic math and read documents pertaining to chemicals and transfers.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently with supervision as needed.
• Commitment to safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently load/unload/blend hazardous and non-hazardous trucks and railcars.
• Complete all loading/unloading per established procedures.
• Complete all paperwork accurately and in compliance with regulations.
• Assist with aligning tanks for transfer by gauging tanks and opening valves before pumps.
• Perform preventive and regular maintenance and keep the work area clean.
• Use heavy equipment, hoses, and similar items.
• Interact professionally with coworkers and visitors.
• Identify problems, use judgment to resolve, and follow through promptly.
• Support team efforts and cooperate with others.
• Report to work on time and be prepared for workload changes.
• Comply with health, safety, environmental and security requirements.
• Complete required training in a timely manner.
