Job summary

TransMontaigne is seeking a Terminal Operator based in Tacoma, WA. The role involves safely operating terminal equipment for receiving, storing, transferring, and loading liquid bulk products via trucks, pipelines, rail cars, water vessels or tanks.

You will test products, log results, maintain equipment, and prepare reports in a safety-sensitive environment. The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, familiarity with terminal automation software (Toptech preferred), and the

Qualifications

• Must have safety-conscious approach and follow all policies.
• Ability to operate and monitor terminal equipment.
• Basic math for inventories and readings.
• Experience with terminal automation software is preferred.
• Willingness to work outside in all weather conditions.
• Overtime and flexible scheduling may be required.

Responsibilities

• Operate terminal equipment safely during receiving, storing, transferring and loading liquid bulk products.
• Gauging tanks, reading temperatures, sampling products, and logging results.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections; maintain logs and records.
• Record meter readings, calculate inventories, and input data into systems.
• Calibrate injection systems and perform basic oil tests when needed.
• Issue permits and ensure safety compliance for contractors and activities at the terminal.
• Communicate outages and equipment downtime with supervisors and teams.
• Participate in emergencies and maintain clean, safe work environment.
• Complete required documentation and adhere to company procedures.
