Job summary

Energy Transfer is seeking a Terminal Operator in Huntington, IN to manage the loading, storage, and transfer of refined petroleum products. The role emphasizes accurate reporting of liquids pipeline assets, adherence to procedures, and safe operation of terminal equipment.

Under supervision, you will gauge tanks, take meter readings, reconcile inventories, and perform required QC tests. Travel to multiple facilities and shift flexibility are expected as part of ensuring reliable terminal

Qualifications

• Effective communication with peers and management at various levels.
• Self-starter able to work with little supervision.
• Able to use basic hand tools and conduct basic product testing.
• Proficient in mathematics and able to perform calculations.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Gauge storage tanks and take meter readings daily.
• Provide top-tier customer service to commercial and operations staff.
• Calculate and input product inventories and meter readings into systems.
• Perform daily and monthly reconciliation of inventories and thru-puts.
• Perform facility maintenance and ensure safe operations.
• Safely load petroleum products onto trucks and receive from pipelines.
• Travel to facilities as needed to support terminals.
• Take samples and perform QC tests as required.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections.
• Ensure all terminal equipment functions properly and report failures.
