Job summary

Ash Grove Cement in Nevada is seeking a Terminal Operator II to perform daily loading/unloading and safety tasks on site. You will support maintenance activities and engage with customers to ensure a solid on-site experience.

The role requires reading/writing ability, safety certifications, and proficiency with company apps. You will operate mobile equipment and help maintain 5S standards, contributing to a safe, efficient operation.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent is required.
• Ability to read, write and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc.
• Received internal or external certification for Rail Conductor, Barge and Truck Safety as per site requirements
• Received internal or external certification for use of onsite mobile equipment as per site requirements
• Demonstrate the safe operations of site equipment
• Willingness to learn, training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
• Loads trucks as per the daily schedule, utilizing the onsite systems
• Unloads product as per the daily schedule, utilizing the onsite systems
• Handles inquiries and orders for customers and sales personnel
• Maintains shipping logs, prepares bills of lading, and calculates split-load tonnages based on a customer's instructions
• Completes all safety checks and audits independently on site
• Maintains supply point and 5S standards
• Operates mobile equipment safely and efficiently on site
• Completes basic maintenance of equipment on site
