Job summary

Ash Grove Cement, a CRH Company, is seeking a Terminal Operator I to perform daily loading and unloading, site administration, and safety duties on site. You will engage with customers to ensure a solid on-site experience and participate in 5S and maintenance programs.

Requires high school diploma; OSHA 10 hour certification and training will be provided. Opportunities for growth and comprehensive benefits are offered in a cement plant environment.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent is required.
• Ability to read, write and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc.
• Willingness to learn, training will be provided.
• Receive basic site safety training including First Aid and all applicable LSR Training
• Receive OSHA (IHSA) 10 hour certification

Responsibilities

• Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
• Gains full understanding and demonstrate adherence to the safety program
• Loads trucks and/ or rail cars as per the daily schedule utilizing the on-site systems
• Unloads product as per the daily schedule utilizing the on-site systems
• Operates on site mobile equipment and receive training
• Handles inquiries and orders for customers and sales personnel
• Maintains shipping logs, prepares bills of lading, and calculates split-load tonnages based on a customer's instructions
• Works with company apps for site emails, safety incident reporting, completing training and other programs.
• Maintains supply point and 5S standards
• Assists with basic maintenance of equipment on site
• Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
