Job summary

Ash Grove Cement, a CRH Company, seeks a Terminal Operator I to perform loading and unloading on site and actively participate in site maintenance and 5S programs, ensuring a solid customer experience.

The Terminal Operator I will engage with customers to ensure quality service, support safety initiatives, and operate on-site equipment. The shift is M-F 8:00 am - 4:00 pm with a pay rate of $21/hr and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc.
• High school graduation or equivalent is required
• Willingness to learn; training will be provided
• Minimum of 1 year of experience preferred
• Proficient in customer service skills
• Receive basic site safety training including First Aid and all applicable LSR Training

Responsibilities

• Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
• Gains full understanding and demonstrate adherence to the safety program
• Loads trucks and/ or rail cars as per the daily schedule utilizing the on-site systems
• Unloads product as per the daily schedule utilizing the on-site systems
• Operates on site mobile equipment and receive training
• Handles inquiries and orders for customers and sales personnel
• Maintains shipping logs, prepares bills of lading, and calculates split-load tonnages based on a customer's instructions
• Works with company apps for site emails, safety incident reporting, completing training and other programs.
• Maintains supply point and 5S standards
• Assists with basic maintenance of equipment on site
• Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
