Job summary

Greater Cincinnati Asphalt Terminal 2 is seeking a Terminal Operator to support safe, efficient operations at our liquid terminal facility. The role involves handling pumps, valves and conveyors, monitoring temperatures and pressures, and performing routine inspections while observing strict safety and environmental guidelines.

The ideal candidate brings mechanical aptitude, welding experience, and the ability to work overtime and weekends as needed. TWIC credential is preferred or obtainable.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in terminal operations, industrial facilities, or related fields preferred.
  • Ability to obtain or currently possess a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) card.
  • Strong commitment to safety, environmental responsibility, and regulatory compliance.
  • Familiarity with handling bulk liquids and dry materials is a plus.
  • Mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and basic welding experience.
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Flexible schedule with ability to work overtime and weekends if needed.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.; climb stairs/ladders up to 24 ft.; work in enclosed or tight spaces.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate pumps, valves, conveyors, and related equipment safely and efficiently to transfer asphalt and other materials.
  • Perform loading and unloading operations for barges, railcars, and trucks with precision and care.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on terminal equipment to ensure operational reliability.
  • Monitor product levels, pressures, and temperatures, ensuring proper handling and compliance with quality standards.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, company policies, and environmental guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Collaborate with terminal leadership, maintenance teams, and external partners to support smooth terminal operations.
  • Participate actively in emergency response drills and follow established procedures during incidents.
