Dunavant Sea Lane Express (DSLX) seeks an experienced Terminal Manager to oversee the Norfolk terminal in Virginia. You will drive operational performance, profitability, safety, and service excellence while leading a team and coordinating with sales to grow revenue.

The role requires a strong background in drayage and intermodal transportation, budget management, and people leadership. This exempt salary position offers standard hours with additional availability as business needs require.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Minimum of 2-5 years of transportation, logistics, terminal management, or related leadership experience.
• Direct drayage and intermodal transportation experience required.

Responsibilities

• Lead all day-to-day terminal operations to ensure efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
• Manage terminal staffing levels, employee development, training, and performance.
• Oversee terminal safety, security, facility maintenance, and property-related matters.
• Develop and execute operational strategies that support company objectives.
• Partner with the sales team to grow revenue and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Conduct business development and sales calls as needed.
• Manage terminal budgets and ensure financial targets are met.
• Maintain full responsibility for terminal P&L performance.
• Ensure compliance with Hours of Service (HOS) requirements and related driver management processes.
• Oversee training and utilization of transportation management and operating systems.
• Ensure adherence to company operational, billing, customer service, and administrative procedures.
• Travel as needed to company terminals, meetings, and industry events.
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
